I avoided poison because I didn’t want little dead mouse bodies in the wall. HOWEVER, I found that sticky traps, placed where I knew they would go, worked very well. A bit inhumane, granted, but they worked! They also have an anesthetic that numbs them when they get stuck. I’ll leave the rest of the disposal up to you.

I had the same problem, but mine did not get lost in the duct work. That really sucks. Definitely an FML situation. Very funny. I’d call and complain to Tom Cat. Right now, I’m trying to posion the critter since it managed to avoid seven or eight different t-rex spring traps.

I too purchased this product b/c it was cold and I had a mouse/chipmunk cratching at my pipes. Unlike your situation my traps went off but when I checked there was nothing there and the bait was gone. 3 more times I tried again with the same result. What ever happen to the good old fashion traps? I can’t find them anywhere. You should actually try the TomCat blocks. The rodent nibbles at it and it dies from whatever is in it. I have tried those and had success.
