I find low carb diets might be the best for me

The best way to break the carb addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs, eat one every time you want “something” – have huge omelets with bacon, sausage, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops smothered with peppers, mushrooms & cheese – pork rinds & dip or tuna/chicken/turkey/egg salad – steaks – a huge sugar free cheese cake. Eat so much you won’t feel deprived of anything. By the 4th day, the addiction will be gone & you can start making healthy choices.
Every day you should be eating these 2 items. If you need additional fat or calories, you can add a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil to the ground flax seed cereal. I highly recommend virgin coconut oil for people needing quick energy – coconut oil is the only fat that is converted to quick energy like a carb.
Half an avocado mashed with mayo seasoned with cayenne & eaten with pork rinds or celery.
Ground flax seed (4 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg – let sit 10 min. to absorb liquid, put some cream cheese in the middle & nuke 2 min for daily fiber needs. Flax seed should be eaten daily even in induction.
The first 2 weeks, you can have several cups of salad a day – Bacon, lettuce & a lil tomato with avocado/mayo dressing is my fav. Jicama, cucumber, celery & radish marinated in sesame oil & hot pepper flakes with rice wine vinegar & artificial sweetener. Make a stir fry with Bok Choy, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, celery, mushrooms, shirataki noodles. I love eggs & could eat deviled eggs every day. You can smother omelets & meats with mushrooms, peppers & cheese. Meatzza – Meatloaf with pizza toppings. I like thin sausage patties fried crispy with pizza toppings. Pork rinds & celery sticks are great crunch and can be eaten with dips (avocado/mayo/cayenne) & tuna/chicken/turkey/egg salads. I love my rotisserie & it makes meats tasty. I cook a turkey often & make soup with the bones & turkey salads. I’ll cube up some turkey meat mix in a couple of raw eggs add cheese & broccoli with cayenne powder & nuke 2 minutes for instant meal.
After 2 week, you add 5 grams of carbs per day every week & add greater variety of non starchy vegetables. Change your mindset – adapt what you like to eat to low carb -
replace bread with lettuce
replace pasta with cabbage
replace rice with cauliflower
replace potatoes with brocolli
Cabbage makes a good pasta substitute. Make lasagna with blanched cabbage leaves & thinly fried eggplant instead of noodles. Sugar free pasta sauce over fried cabbage. My fav is chicken cacciatore, I add greens & flaxseed for body & add pizza toppings too. Alfredo sauce is also low carb.
I make a lot of shredded cabbage & mayo or fried cabbage if I’m a bit more ambitious. I fry up bacon & onions & it makes any salad special (BLT) Avocado & turkey – grilled chicken – fajita meat & fried onions is great also. I’ll make a salad with 6 cans: mackerel, baby corn, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, artichoke hearts, sweet red peppers & add mayo & chia seed gel.
Kim Chee is fermented cabbage & one of the healthiest foods. You can make a huge batch & it will sit in refrigerator fine for a long time.
I make huge batches of food & freeze most of it. Go into the forums for recipes – I was shocked that fried “rice” made with grated cauliflower tasted like it’s name sake – faux mashed “taters” made with cauliflower & cream cheese – “potato” salad using cauliflower instead. Shirataki noodles are traditional in Japanese sukiyaki & low carb
Chia seeds sound expensive but 1# will make 10# food – Amazon.com has couple lbs. for $ 16 shipped to you. I buy mine in bulk for $ 5# with free shipping at getchia.com
I also order off Amazon – Lowrey’s Pork Rinds 18 for $ 15 – they pop like popcorn & are portion controlled.
Faux tapioca – 2 cups of water, 5 scoops of low carb whey protein powder, stir together & add cup of chia seeds, after they have started to absorb the water, add in 2 cans of coconut milk (or cream & added water) & artificial sweetener if you like & mix it all in. Cream a pkg. of cream cheese into a can of pumpkin & add for pumpkin pie pudding.
I make a raw porridge out of low carb whey powder & water, I add ground flax seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, coconut milk, tahini (ground sesame seeds) & raw egg. All seeds & nuts are raw & soaked to germinate them.
(berries are lowest glycemic) Cheesecake – strawberry ice cream (frozen berries, cream, a stick blender) – i eat lots of fish for snack (fish “steaks” or mackerel in tins are favs)- olives

10 most common types of anti aging treatment
Anti Aging Treatments target some of the most unwelcome changes that happen to our faces and bodies as we get older – fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, uneven skin tone, spider veins and even sagging skin.
Facial Treatments are the most common and nowadays you can get a non surgical facelift to tighten and lift the face without surgery as well as treatments to rejuvenate the surface of the skin and eliminate blemishes.
There are also many body treatments to improve the signs of aging on the neck, chest and leg area.
In recent years anti aging treatments for the hands have become popular – perhaps because they remain a giveaway of age even with a young looking face!
With the exception of liposuction and smartlipo for fat reduction which is a surgical procedure – body and face treatments often use the same technology but the equipment is specially developed for the area targeted.
The range of options open to you if you are looking for an anti wrinkle treatment is enormous and likely to be confusing. This article gives you an introduction by describing the current range of non surgical treatments available to you as part of your anti aging strategy.
One word of warning – don’t assume “non surgical” means pain free. Many anti aging skin treatments cause considerable pain or discomfort as a minimum and a lot of downtime. In particular ” ablative “treatments use an agent (laser, chemical, nitrogen, abrasion) to damage the skins surface to the point that it falls off. You may get the skin rejuvenation you want but are you prepared for the side effects?
Before looking at treatment options it is worth stepping back and asking yourself whether you really need an anti aging treatment at all. Often the best route to looking good for your age is to start with the basics:
1. Avoid doing harm to your skin: stop smoking, moderate alkohol intake and limit sun exposure.
2. Get lifestyle factors right: a healthy diet and regular exercise
3. Use anti aging skin care as part of your daily beauty regimen
Getting these things right will improve your looks dramatically and make it more likely that any treatment you choose will give you better results.
If you do decide to go further in your battle with aging then do your research. Anti aging treatments are promoted seductively by manufacturers and the cosmetic surgery industry.
As a first step to more detailed research find out what your options are by looking at the ten most common types of anti aging treatment available:
Laser Skin Resurfacing – Damage is done to the skins top layer (ablative) and rejuvenated skin grows back through the natural processes of healing (Erbium lasers and CO2 lasers). Laser skin resurfacing is effective on medium to deep wrinkling, scarring and sun damaged skin on hands and face. As an ablative approach requires considerable downtime with the discomfort that brings.
Laser skin tightening and skin rejuvenation – non-ablative infrared systems to promote collagen, tighten skin and improve blemishes (CoolTouch, IPL, NdYAG and Q-switching lasers). Laser skin treatment is very effective in treating broken capillaries and facial veins and for relieving the flushing and redness associated with Rosacea. Q-switching lasers are very effective at treating age spots. Systems like CoolTouch and others also deliver mild to moderate skin tightening and lifting effects when used over time.
LED Light Therapy – using Light Emitting Diodes for gentle non-ablative skin rejuvenation and collagen stimulation over time. Positive effects of LED Light Therapy are well supported in medical research. LED skin treatment works best on fine wrinkles and for improving skin tone and clarity.
Skin tightening and resculpting using radiofrequency (microwave) technolgy for the face and body (Thermage, ThermaCool, Polaris, Refirme). Non-ablative treatment but not without its problems. Manufacturers claim to deliver skin lifting treatments without surgery. Polaris and Refirme are Facial Treatments – ThermaCool can be used for body resculpting.
Chemical Peel– using acids of varying strengths to resurface the skin and stimulate new skin growth (TCA and Phenol peels). TCA is for medium peels effective on fine lines and uneven skin tone. Phenol peel is a deep peel and is an ablative treatment which takes off the top layer of skin. Phenol peels are more effective on deep wrinkles and advanced signs of aging. A Chemical Peel requires considerable recovery time and medium to high discomfort.
Dermabrasion and microdermabrasion – using deep exfoliating as a skin resurfacing technique. Dermabrasion sands off the skin and is an ablative treatment requiring considerable downtime. Dermabrasion is losing ground to other skin resurfacing techniques like the Erbium and CO2 lasers. Microdermabrasion is much more mild – a non-ablative treatment that uses tiny crystals to buff and rejuvenate. Ineffective on deeper wrinkles. Best when used with an active anti aging moisturizer or use a concentrated retinol cream for the same results.
Plasma skin resurfacing – using nitrogen to rejuvenate skin – only brand name currently is Rhytec’s Portrait Plasma as this is new technology. Despite claims that this is a non-ablative treatment with low downtime and less scarring than other skin resurfacing techniques.
Dermal Fillers to plump out facial wrinkles and add bulk where volume has collapsed. The original collagen fillers caused allergic reactions and were short lived. Latest dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid gel fillers especially Non Animal Sourced Hyaluronic Acid (NASHA). Most popular brand names include: Juvederm,Restylane, Perlane, Captique and Radiesse. Used in facial treatments, lip enhancements and body treatments like rejuvenation of the hands.
Wrinkle relaxing injections (Botox, Dysport) – one of the most well known wrinkle treatments of all time. Most of us know how botox works but be aware that botox injection are effective on motion lines only and best results are obtained by an expert doctor combining Botox with dermal fillers. Beware of overly diluted botox injections which may appear cheap and be ineffective. Some adverse effects are being noted by long term users of botox – compensatory wrinkling (bunny lines) and permanently weakened facial muscles are two.
GFX or No-Tox – radiofrequency used to block the nerve that controls frown lines. Effects are more long term (12 months) than Botox and not reversible.
This is only a summary of what’s available on anti aging treatments.
Question by Princess Ty: What is the best skincare line for both adult acne and anti aging?
I’m a 30 year old female who has mild acne (blackheads with the occasional breakout) but also need an anti aging product as well. I’ve tried neutrogena and do not necessarily need a low cost regimine, just one that works. I’m looking for cleanser, treatment, moisturizer, and eye cream. Any advice is appreciated!

Princess Ty, this is what I use and recommend, although I have not used acne products in several years but this is what I used:
Neutrogena cleanser mild (not acne cleansers – since those leave the skin bone dry and then the skin over produces oil). You may want also to consider Olay foaming cleanser. I found just washing multiple times a day kept the oil/dirt/bacteria at bay. For stubborn zits, just use a spot treatment cream like oxy10. I always applied it at night and after I showered. There is no need to cover your entire face with acne treatment just the zits.
For face moisturizer I use Preve by Isabella Pelle. It has the highest concentration of the best moisturizer known to date; hyaluronic acid, and it’s anti aging.
for eye cream I use their Extreme Eye Rescue. It’s made specifically for the eye area. I hope this helps.

Question by Pete L.: I want to delay my aging. What kind of anti aging cosmetics can I use?
I am in my late 30s and I am more conscious and beginning to worry about my aging. I want to know what kind of anti aging cosmetics I can use to delay my aging for now. Does anyone have any anti aging cosmetics information?

The most important thing to use is sunblock to avoid further damaging your skin. Then consider eating less meat and junk food to keep your body in good shape. These two things will go further than any cosmetics you can buy.
